I watched the second part of the Bill O’Reilly interview with Hillary tonight, and again she came through flawlessly. What was surprising was the commentary just after the last segment. Laura Ingraham actually paid Hillary Clinton a compliment. She described Hillary as “having fun”, “warm”, and that she “came across pretty strong”. I’m sure she probably said some nasty things about her after that, but I chose to stop watching right at that point. As I was slowly picking my jaw off the floor, My partner turned to me and said, “you know, I don’t think Hell freezes over all at once. I think it’s more of a gradual process”. I don’t think I could have said it better myself.
We have been watching the world gradually turn upside down over the last few months. Things and people we once trusted and believed in have turned on us. People we once were suspicious of seem reasonable. Every day brings a new level of surreality and sometimes it is hard to keep your bearings. I mentioned to someone a couple months back that its like Oedipus in real life. Imagine a witch or a shaman came to you six months ago and told you that you would be watching Fox news to escape the bias of MSNBC. I never would have believed it. I would have laughed in the face of destiny. And now here I am slowly freezing as we get closer and closer to 32 degrees in Hell.

Tonight on Campbell Brown’s Election Center at CNN, he was talking about the battle for the Democratic nomination. He said, “Only an Improvised Explosive Device will take out Senator Clinton.”
I can’t tell if Ms. Brown was amused or shocked — I think she giggled.
Shocked, I let out a gasp. From what I recall, he was not “joking” around, but seemed seriously & purposefully grim, as though he clearly understood the implications of what he said. Maybe someone like MediaMatters or C&L was able to capture the video.
My husband and I discussed it — how blatant the rage was and we were visibly dismayed and shaken that anyone could believe — in this case, Joe Klein — there was a place in American life where this type of hate speech was acceptable, at least unquestioned or unchallenged.
I expect nothing less than full apologies and condemnations from CNN, Campbell Brown and Joe Klein. He needs an intervention or a time-out before being allowed a “public” forum like that — including the WP, wherever else he peddles his vitriol.

Kbird: Tornadoes…no fun. I remember once when we were living in KC, my wife, son and I were shopping in Overland Park and we heard sirens…. the store gave us the option to leave or move to their storage area for protection…. Nothing happened but as I said, no fun at all.
Here in upstate NY the big problem is getting buried in snow (or at least by Lake Ontario), although I read somewhere in the CBC site (Canadian Broadcasting Corp) that in about thirty or forty years the weather in Southern Ontario/New York will resemble that of NC, so there, I will not need to move for my retirement… Thank you Global Warming!

Speaking of NC, I wonder how much money BO is spending there and in IN? He’s had a hellish week and doesn’t seem to get any time to “connect with the voters”. Too bad he’s doing double duty cleaning up after himself. He’s slowly unravelling and it’s not pretty to watch.
I must admit I am looking forward to seeing Howard Dean tap dance his way through MI and FL when the DNC finally has to address that mess as they will be forced to because Obama will crash and burn.

Too funny! Mika Breadshitski is such an idiot, she can’t stand when Joe Scarborough talks about “his girl” Hillary. She continually talks over him, I don’t know how he keeps himself from lunging across the desk at her.
Unfortunately Joe was forced this morning to puke up the “she doesn’t have the numbers” hairball (SDHTN). I guess he was told to be fair and balanced…oh, wrong station.
Elixir, I’ve seen his ads on T.V., but he’s not spending as much time on the ground here as Hillary, Bill or Chelsea. They’ve been all over the state campaigning. It’s interesting, too, that the first time Obama came to my area (Fayetteville, N.C.), he spoke to an audience of 120 invited guests. Both times that Hillary has been here and the several times that Bill has been here, it was always free and open to the public.
If the polls are moving Hillary’s way, why are the superdelegates moving toward Obama?
