Congratulations, Riverdaughter!
I have found my people.
Go, Hillary!
Yes, congratulations Riverdaughter. I’ve been telling everyone I know about your site.
Congrats.
Congratulations Riverdaughter! You have led us out of the wilderness and into the sunlight. Thank you for that and for your excellent writing and leadership.
Congratulations!
You are doing a good thing here and it is clearly appreciated!
Cool! Thanks to Kbird, BostonBoomer, RonKSeattle, ShainZona, Tucsonlynn and all of the other Conflucians who have made the last 3 months so much fun.
We couldn’t have done it without us.
Well done!
Thank you for helping to lower my blood pressure! I truly enjoy this site. Congratulations!
riverdaughter, I came here as one of your Kossacks in Exile. It was such a relief to read encouraging words about Hillary’s campaign without immediately hearing how stupid or obviously crazy it was.
Merriam-Webster on-line defines Confluence as
I’d say that Riverdaughter’s Confluence is a happy confluence of ideas and people (and other Hillary Blogs).
Thank you VERY much for bringing us together.
I hope that there is no way that you can tell how many of those visits are from me!! I would be so embarrassed.
Honora,
You have nothing to be embarrassed about. I click on this site many times a day. In fact this site is my home page now. I don’t know how I would have survived without you guys. I was actually getting depressed back in February, and now I’m upbeat and interested in the contest again. Never again will I subject myself to those blogs where I can’t say what I really think without being attacked and shamed for simply discussing the what my eyes, ears, and brain perceive.
Congratulations, riverdaughter!
And what bb said. The confluence became my homepage after years of another site which shall not be named (and no, not DK).
This is my haven and I see many names here that are familiar to me. It is so nice to know that I am among friends.
I’m all verklempt. Talk among yourselves.
I congratulated you (all of us) in advance a couple of days ago, but my math was wrong then (I said 1000, when at the time was more like 10.000).
So here it goes again, now that it is really less than 1000 hits.
Congratulations.
..
.. so very, very Wundabar ! .. !! – me too , I use this site as my launching place . To move into other places but to always be able to come back to brilliance , humour and understanding – wooohooo ! ..
thanks to ALL who have made this the Premier place to BE .. !
Congratulations! I too tell people about your site.
We are really watching the blogosphere 2.0 being born.
From disappointment, pain, betrayal and even disgust some amazingly beautiful strong voices are rising up.
And it is clear they aren’t going away!
Thank you for creating this place.
well, it sure feels nice to be home again sorta of! i see familar names and see the best of analysis without the hype. thanks and congratulations.
Congratulations to riverdaughter and to al of those who are smart enough to appreciate her!
Linda – Perfect ! “From disappointment, pain, betrayal and even disgust some amazingly beautiful strong voices are rising up.”
exactly.
Before I found this site I simply cannot relate to how I felt – could hardly breath sometimes, I know , I know way too emotional, however , it is here I took my first deep breath in a long time, it is here that my shoulders unlocked , it is here that I found I could go on . Riverdaughter told me after my first post – that “We” here together would be able to handle the storms .. not exact quote but the ‘We” part was and the essence is correct ..
Riverdaughter, I have to second Honora’s comment. I happened on The Confluence a few weeks ago via Hillary’s website — and I am hooked. My husband thinks I’m a nut (thankfully not of the Brazil species). The posts and comments are informative and analytical, with great links. And though your readers are fired up and frank in their comments, I don’t see that hatefulness that is so pervasive elsewhere. (I have never visited DailyKos, but the comments on msm sites are nasty enough.) Thank you and Congratulations!
Congrats Riverdaughter!
I visit the site a few times a day…Keep up the great work.
Congrats! I can claim a few of those daily hits since I stumbled into here a few weeks back. I never was a Kos person, but many of my other former haunts got uncomfortable after Obama-mania took over.
Thanks for your intelligent posts, and for hosting a place of refuge.
Hell yeah! Keep it up, woman! This blog is now on my daily must-read list (hell, usually it’s on my hourly must-read list…)
We can bring sanity back to the Democratic Party: oh yes we can!
Congratulations and I’m happy to have helped take you over the 200K mark!
Great reading and nice to Hillary! Always a PLUS!
Peace
Felicidades, riverdaugher! Thank you for creating this oasis.
Oops, that’s riverdaughTer!
On the GE front, McSame is giving a speech today in which he will declare that we are “no longer staring into the abyss of defeat” in Iraq.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080407/ap_on_el_pr/campaign_rdp
No matter how many times Obama repeats the “I was right on Iraq from the start” talking point, I remain convinced that Hillary is the candidate who can best expose McCain’s supposed “foreign policy” cred for its utter emptiness. I also remain convinced that Hillary, not Obama, would get us the hell out of Iraq faster than Obama.
tiffany: “Thank you for helping to lower my blood pressure! ” Boy oh boy, you can say that again. Lisoprinil be damned!
Congrats, riverdaughter. Ya done (do) good.
Warning to Tiffany & ufa — If you’ve got blood pressure problems, don’t watch that video I posted on the front page. My heart’s still racing from watching it.
gee,i remember when i first got here you had about 11,000 and change.followed a link from lambert at corrente, liked what i read, and have been coming back every since.congatulations are definitely in order.this place has been a refreshing change from the sites i used to hang at.keep up the good work(i know that you will ).
Congratulations!!
I think we should have more blog amnesty days (link fests) around the blogsphere, to let others know what is out there.
ghost2: You are so right. I’ve added a few new ones to the blogroll, like Heidi Li’s Potpourri and Fitness for the Occasion but there are new ones cropping up all of the time, like Howling Latina. But, damn it, the wordpress hackers changed the frickin’ interface and I can’t find the blogroll update link. So, yes, a link fest is on order. If we are linked to by the NYTimes, ABC or CNN again, the traffic should spike and I’ll do one.
I visit daily and appreciate having a site where the truth shines! Congratulations again.
